johannesburg glamour photographer

Ahhh, I’m back to my Tuesday bloggings (I had to beg off last week, but my blogging girlfriends forgave me!) and this week’s topic is one I love – what a difference the right light makes!

Now, any photographer will tell you that light can make or break a photo. While I agree – lighting is EVERYTHING in photography, I don’t really believe in such a thing as bad light. Of course, I have light that I prefer to work with (or manipulate) but that doesn’t mean I can’t try making the best photograph out of any lighting situation thrown my way.

JOHANNESBURG PHOTOGRAPHER | 30 Day Challenge – Days 26-30

30 day challenge

Wow, the 30 day challenge I participated in this month is finished. It was time consuming, mentally challenging, stressful at times… but an absolute BLAST!!

I’ve said this before, and I will say it again. I think a 30 day challenge is absolutely incredible for any photographer at any level to do – whether amateur or seasoned professional – there is no limit to learning, and pushing your creativity really REALLY is such an amazing feeling.

I’ve left the list of the entire 30 days at the end of the blog post, if you want to save it to do yourself :)

FEATURED PHOTOG : Erin Watson Photography

photographer interview

Welcome to Friday’s Featured Photog, where I am lucky enough to get to know my favourite photographers from around the world a little bit better! These artists inspire me and hold my deepest respect. Like what you see about today’s Featured Photog? Head on over to their social networking sites at the end of this post and show them some love!

We are staring February off with an AMAZING photographer.

Northwest Indiana based photographer, Erin Watson, prefers Mountain Dew over tea or coffee, watches too many conspiracy shows on the History channel and loves the Strawberry Cheesecake flavoured Jelly Belly Jelly Bean. I tried to recall whether or not I have tried that flavour, but it’s not ringing any bells – mental note made to track down this jellybean!!

A long time ago, I told Erin that I wish I had her eyes. She see’s beauty in things I would normally not look twice at. I still maintain this. Erin has this uncanny knack of photographing desolation and desertion, and turning it into art.
