I absolutely love small, intimate weddings where the happy couple share their special day with their nearest and dearest and of course, me!
If you follow my Facebook page, you might remember this happy couple from last year where we got the proposal on camera while they were dancing in the rain – most romantic thing EVER.
We arranged for an engagement shoot shortly after that – these are just a few of my favourites (I know I am completely photo bombing today, but can you blame me?! I love all their session images!!)
When I met up for coffee with this beautiful bride, she mentioned that her ceremony was going to be an intimate one. I had no idea how intimate she meant though! With a whopping seven of their nearest and dearest attending, it was intimate in a way I have never experienced before. Surrounded by people who loved them, they exchanged vows, furtive glances, laughter and tender kisses. I was absolutely honoured to be a part of their special day.
We met at sunrise to get to know each other and to take advantage of the mystical, romantic light at that time of day. I have never met a couple more in love and I am so excited to capture their wedding late on this year!
This sweet couple contacted me asking if I would be able to capture just a few important moments from their wedding – namely the ceremony and some family pictures afterwards. What a treat it was to be a part of their special day! Everything was organised to perfection – the flowers were stunning, the decor was tasteful and the bride, opting for an outfit outside of the traditional wedding attire, looked radiant and elegant.
Held at River Place Country Estate near Hennops River in Centurion, we were holding thumbs for overcast weather and boy, did we get exactly what we were hoping for! The weather held out and the result was beautiful – soft light and a slight breeze. With the sound of the musical Hennops River in the background, I had to hold back a tear while this happy couple exchanged their vows.
A happy (and relieved!) first kiss.
Congratulations to them – it was such an honour to share in their day!
Thanks for looking – chat soon!
What a privilege it is to be able to capture and share in the joy of someones wedding day, and even more so when you are able to share in the day with good friends.
Well, this wasn’t a wedding. This gorgeous couple got married quite a few years ago and decided that they wanted more photos in their wedding attire! There is NO reason why a wedding dress should not be worn more than once, and what better way to feel like an absolute princess than to arrange for a photo shoot – consider it a “Cherish the Dress” session. Plus, isn’t it an amazing feeling, being able to fit into the dress of your dreams years later?!
