It’s Thursday! That means time for my blog ring post again! Once every couple of weeks (or weekly, if we are all on the ball 😉 ), a group of fellow photographers and bloggers and I blog about the same topic. This week’s topic is light.
Good light is essential to good photography. Without light, there are no shadows. And without shadows, things would just look flat.
Right, since I have been working exclusively with natural light for the past two years, I recently decided to test the waters with OCF (off camera flash). I have a long way to go, that’s for sure, but it’s always fun learning.
If you are a regular follower of my blog, you will know that I love back lighting. I love everything about back lighting with sunlight (back lighting is also known as rim lighting). So I thought I would try do get a similar effect with OCF.
I didn’t get it 100% (and if you have any tips for me, I would love to hear!) but I don’t think it was terribly bad for my first try 😛 I didn’t exactly have my pick of the lot with models either 😉
Let’s check out what the talented Huong from Huong Forrest Photography has to say about light this week.
